This sound was mentioned previously by fedupmech on his 5/24/18 SigTalk post "Finally got to hold a P365" and by ShootAlot44 in his 5/30/18 post "P365 - What we know". The dull thud sound was thought to be the sign of a new P365 deficiency.If the P365 is too small for your hands, then I would easily recommend the XL. The XL is a belt carry gun while the P365 has a bit more versatility with concealment due to its size. I've owned both at the same time and ended up getting rid of the XL. Last Thursday my P365 arrived at Sig Warranty Service for repair. The issue was when I pull the trigger with a live round in the chamber it did not fire. I called today for an update and was told that my P365 went into the custom shop this morning for diagnosis and repair.The down side is they are small parts but the upside is any 365 can be converted.
